FREE Alphabet Sampler, 1911

This is a sampler from my collection and was originally stitched in 1911 using two colours: pink and green. It was worked on a very light open weave linen, approximately 38ct. Unfortunately, with no name it isn't possible to trace but it has a very French influence the alphabet. A sweet little sampler.

The design is 201 x 151 stitches. The original was worked on a light canvas style fabric which is approximately 38ct. The model has been worked on 36 ct and the size is 11.25 x 8.5". The sampler has been worked over 2 threads. The chart does have measurements for fabrics from 28ct to 56 ct.
